Booking a few classes in one go?
Hello, I’m Kate. I offer yoga classes in Cheadle Hulme and online – and I’ve been teaching for 13 years with 5,000+ hours experience and a passion to share yoga so that it works for real people.
I am a Senior Registered Yoga Teacher, worked with hundreds of characters and bodies, and I know anatomy. With a background in functional movement, you’re in expert hands ~ no pressure or pretence ~ just guidance and encouragement.
I teach yoga to beginners, men, athletes, everyone.
My approach is grounded, safe, anatomically-led and science-informed with a welcome dose of energy and excitement!
I wasn’t always a yoga fan. What started as a reluctant experiment during illness became a life-changing support-system. Yoga has helped me through injury, stress, burnout, illness, and the juggle and joy of being a business owner and mum with ADHD.
Join me to feel stronger, calmer and free in your body.
I hold certified qualifications in 200hr Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Foundations (2013), Prenatal Yoga (2017), Rocket Yoga (2016), Yoga for Sports and Athletes (2023 with Premier League Yoga Lead) + undertake annual CPD training for accreditation and insurance purposes.
Dedicated Yoga Class for Men
Why do I run a Yoga Class for Men?
2 years ago, more than a few established clients told me me how much they wished their partners would try yoga; how they wish they could experience the benefits; but how they wouldn’t ever feel comfortable walking into a regular class. They’d be too tight. Feel too self-conscious. They’d be rubbish and get it wrong.
This planted a seed. I wanted to put yoga on men’s radar so that they could feel welcome to yoga and get all the amazing benefits of this practise.
Because none of those worries hold up once you’re in the yoga class!
Tightness is assumed and practically celebrated, not a barrier.
Everyone is doing their best.
We’re not judging, or performing, or pretending.
We’re just doing the yoga and making it work.
I specialise in yoga for sport and athletes so tight hips and stressed brains are my forte.
Who can attend?
Any male curious about how yoga can complement their life and feel BETTER. Including dodgy knees. Clicky shoulders. Replaced hips. Crap balance. Bring. Them. All.
You don’t have to be a “yoga person” and you don’t have to be able to touch your toes.
Every class has modifications. You tell me what your body’s dealing with, I take it from there.
Anything else?
45% of all of my clients are men.
100% of this class are men, and they are also runners, anti-runners, cyclists, climbers, ex-rugby-players, desk-workers, tradespeople, dads, grand-dads, dog-dads… (you get the picture!)

HOW TO BOOK
"Bundle Bookings"
These are the most common way to book: Book the term upfront and lock your space in.
This is my preferred way to run classes. Regular attendance creates routine and benefits!
• Discounted! WINTER 26 bundle runs Sept-Christmas, £210 for 15 classes, you pay for 14 classes at old rate of £15 per class.
• Motivates attendance, because if you’ve booked, you come, and that’s how you get the benefits!
• ONLY AVAILABLE at the start of each term.
• Your space is locked in, and prioritised when classes are full.
Can I book a Single Class?
Yes! Single Bookings:
• £16 per person for in-person classes (from 1-SEP-2026)
• £10 per person for ONLINE classes (from 1-SEP-2026)
• Book anytime, however space in not guaranteed. If a date is full, single spaces will be reduced or removed.
Cancellations & Absence
• Bookings can’t be rolled over, however if you know you’ll miss a session in advance, if you let me know, we can plan for you to attend an alternative session in it’s place. This is space-dependent so not guaranteed, but I will try to offer a swap!
• Please make every effort to attend your sessions. It helps me manage the schedule fairly for everyone.
What to Bring?
• Is your class at CHMC? Please bring a yoga mat!
• Is your class at Luna Wholebeing? Mats are provided.
• (All other props are provided)
• New to class? Just ask to borrow a mat. No fuss.
Yoga is for Men | Helpful FAQs
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Tightness is assumed.
Most men arrive stiff. That’s normal and expected.
What do I need to bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in.
Eventually, your own mat (which I encourage for hygiene reasons, as we sweat sometimes!) but for your first few sessions, make sure you ask me to bring you one to borrow. Other equiopment / props are provided.
Is this for athletes only?
Not at all. I work with desk workers, trades, runners, footballers, dads, and men who’ve never done yoga before. I specialise in sport and injuries, but you don’t need a sporty background.
Is it awkward if I've never done yoga?
No. Many men arrive slightly suspicious! You won’t be the only beginner, and the room is supportive and judgement-free.
What's the vibe?
Encouraging, grounded, no ego. A solid group of men who show up, move, improve, and get on with their lives feeling better.
What about my injuries?
Injuries are common here! Injuries are the second biggest reason to NOT start yoga (behind flexiblity). My classes are practical and injury-aware, with options offered throughout.
You’re encouraged to work to what your body can do on the day. You will provide all relevant medical and injury information on booking – or prior, if you wish to discuss, email me – so that we can work together to keep you safe, whilst exploring movement options to suit you.
What is the class style?
Less fancy flow, more functional movement.
Strength, mobility, and stability, with nervous system settling throughout. You can think of it as useful movement that helps you feel better.
But there is flow elements – because they are fundamental to yoga and how we get the benefits! Don’t worry, we’ll offer modifications and keep checking in.
Yoga Workshops
Take your practice deeper with extended yoga sessions designed to give you what our weekly classes can only tease at: more time, more understanding, more lightbulb moments.
These aren’t your typical workshops. This is space to pause the vinyasa, break poses down properly, understand what you’re actually doing, and rest like you mean it.
Private Yoga Tuition
Some of the most powerful results I’ve seen have come from private sessions. When the space is yours, the pace is yours, and the practice is built specifically around your needs – real transformation happens.
Whether it’s rebuilding after injury, regaining confidence, building strength with disability, managing stress or working toward a performance goal, private and specialist yoga gives you the time, attention and tools to feel your best.
I work with some private clients every single week. This is an appointment to listen to your body, to move, breathe, be, whatever you need. We work together, I bring the sequence, the equipment. You bring yourself.
I'm trained in Yoga for Sports & Athletes
Yoga isn’t just for injuries. It’s a performance tool. As an ex-marathon runner, Hell Runner, swimmer and jogger, I’ve experienced the benefits. Now I help others use yoga to support strength, mobility and nervous system recovery alongside sport.
I offer functional yoga focusing on:
-
Enhancing flexibility and joint stability
-
Supporting overused muscles and discovering underused ones
-
Regulating the nervous system through recovery techniques
-
Improving rest, repair and overall performance
Sessions are adapted to your training load, injury history and goals.
I teach Individuals, couples & groups
Whether managing an injury, a busy schedule, or prefer learning in your space/at your pace, private sessions are tailored to you. Each sequence is created for your body and your needs.
- Beginners who want to build confidence
- Athletes looking to stabilise, strengthen and boost their training
- People during pregnancy
- People living with chronic conditions and wheel-chair bound disability
- People recovering from surgery or injury.
Sessions are rooted in anatomical understanding, delivered with care, and built to help you move safely and confidently.
Medical consultation is included where appropriate.
Your mat. Your time. Your flow.
The Elevate Yoga Club has been a long time coming — 7+ years, in fact. It’s the online space I’ve always wanted to create for my students: a high-quality, bespoke, expertly-taught yoga library that feels real, welcoming and safe.
Every single class is filmed and curated by me so you can trust that what you’re doing is safe, effective and designed with actual humans in mind.
⟶ Flows from 10 to 60 minutes (strong, stretchy, steady or soothing)
⟶ Breathwork, relaxation + post-run stretches
This is yoga for cold mornings, dark nights, and everything in between. Practise in your pyjamas, between meetings, or after a long day. Whether you’ve got 9 minutes or 45, you’ll find something that fits your body, your mood and your week.
Why Yoga?
Yoga has immediate and long-lasting effects, both obvious and subtle, and on both physical and mental health.
It is a fantastic way of future-proofing your body to cope better with the challenges of ageing, to bring balance to constantly over-stimulated nervous systems, and to prime your joints and muscles to enhance a sport.

Corporate Events
I love to teach corporate groups & events, too!
I have been teaching in workplaces for over a decade! From weekly yoga classes with staff at Comic Relief, London, to a warehouse event at L’Oreal, Manchester. I’ve hosted “Wellness Wednesday” yoga at Dentsu and Havas, delivered a staged event in the Shard with HarperCollins, and taught an after-school event for 30 teachers at a local school!
With s space and intention, we can create something special.

“Having been tempted to try Yoga for a long time, but unsure of the access for an old, un-stretchy man, it was so refreshing and welcoming to have an all-male beginners class where we could all discover the benefits of yoga on our weary bodies!
Moving into my second term of Kate’s classes, I fully feel the benefits across the board; I feel stronger, more flexible, more in control of my body in other exercise etc.
Kate is the perfect guide through this. We’re lucky to have her on the doorstep, and if I could give more than 5 stars I would!”
